In 1978, Heinz Bohr began Bohr Precision Machining with one machine in a small industrial park garage. His goal was to own and operate a business that didn’t just talk about quality and how much they claimed to care about their customers, but one that actually practiced this.
As a result, the business began to grow. Additional machines meant more manpower was necessary to meet the ongoing demands of loyal customers. This was followed by adding more personnel, a saw and milling machine.
After nearly thirty years, Bohr Precision Machining has continued to thrive and expand – overcoming global adversity like 9/11/01, competition from Asia – China and India, and other market changes. It has established a solid reputation for efficient, prompt service often machining larger parts and executing special products its competitors cannot. Much of this is due to Bohr’s employees who continue to be active members of the company. Their innate sense of loyalty enables them to know that they’re “all in it together.”
Along with Heinz, Theo Hicks has helped lead Bohr Precision Machining through it’s fourth decade.
Today, Theo Hicks is now President of Bohr Precision Machining and his vision and goals are simple –produce high quality products with dedicated employees to service loyal customers while consistently innovating their process.
